blog envy

Not getting much in the way of art or blogging today but looking at CollaboART blog I have found myself inspired in many ways ,,,,,,to see what they do, follow their lead and produce something to show CPS Group work off as well as they do theirs!

trying out some Tim Holtz style tags techniques

Here I was using some crackle paint on the skull  and  red embossing powder on the wings. All in an attempt to increase my multi media techinques for the future. Actually I was trying to work out how to upload photos and I have, as you see, done it!

news of creativity

The newsletter is out and showing some very creative work in progress from the group at GM and beyond. The ATCs on a theme was a great success and set up and distributed to each member. ATCs are a thriving media in the art community and many can be viewed in Pinterest and by putting ATC in search engines. It is agreat way to share a lilttle art with each other.

getting started

CPS GROUPies

What is it?
A network of people who live in the UK who love the magazine Cloth Paper Scissors (CPS) who wish to share their enjoyment, and learn from each other how to increase their creativity.

Who can join?
Anyone who enjoys the type of mixed media activity which CPS publishes.

Basically, the members, and at present with most ideas being published in the Newsletter. As numbers have grown (30 by the start of 2012) it has become necessary to create a forum in which to discuss some matters when a quick decision is needed, and any member can become part of that forum, an 'e-committee' or E-com. We have recently been discussing how we can get together a special workshop/retreat type event for the UK for example.

How much does it cost to join?
Nothing.
We especially welcome people who might take an active role in joining out internet based activites and contribute to our bi-monthly newsletter.
